CHICAGO and IOWA CITY, IOWA, February 7, 2019 – Oneview Healthcare, PLC (“Oneview”) (ASX:ONE), a global leader in patient experience and workflow technology, today announced the publication of a case study with University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. The case study, titled Hawkeye Heaven: How University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital Used Technology and Empathy to Create an Improved Patient Experience, found here, details  patient experience initiatives at UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital since its opening in February 2017.

According to the case study, published by The Beryl Institute, UI Hospitals & Clinics saw significant improvements in HCAHPS scores after creating a personalized and immersive digital hospital experience for patient and families in their rooms. Specifically, the hospital saw improvements related to the following questions:

• Likelihood to recommend to others
• Received instructions for child home care
• Provided condition/treatment info to family
• Felt ready for discharge

The University of Iowa “Wave for the Kids” and “Drew’s Lamp” room controls are other tangible demonstrations of empathy’s impact on patient experience.
